Michiko Vartanian

Michiko Vartanian is an associate attorney with Melmed Law Group, P.C., dedicated to advocating for employees in state and federal court. She has extensive experience in litigating wage and hour, harassment, and discrimination claims. Michiko began her career representing both plaintiffs and defendants but found her true passion in seeking justice for employees.

Michiko earned her Bachelor of Arts in German and Spanish from Occidental College, where she was a Fulbright Finalist for Germany. She then obtained a Master’s Degree in Linguistics from California State University, Long Beach, and taught English to adult second-language learners at the American Language Institute at CSULB. It was during her teaching tenure that she developed a desire to pursue labor and employment law.

In her free time, Michiko volunteers with a local guinea pig rescue and cares for her own herd of guinea pigs. She is also an avid chess player, demonstrating her strategic thinking both in and out of the courtroom.
