Christian Cabral

Christian Valenzuela Cabral is an Associate Attorney at Melmed Law Group, where he advocates for employee rights, specializing in wage-and-hour class actions and individual employment disputes.

Christian was raised in Anaheim, California and earned his degree in History from California State University, Long Beach. He continued his education at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where he completed his Juris Doctor in 2025. At UCI Law, Christian was recognized with the Pro Bono Achievement Award and completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Scott H. Yun of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

While at UCI Law, Christian’s passion for workplace equity and worker empowerment motivated his participation in the Workers, Law, and Organizing Clinic, where he gained extensive hands-on experience through active litigation, policy advocacy, and community education in partnership with social movement organizations. As a member of the clinic’s wage theft team, Christian conducted in-depth legal research and assisted in drafting a wage theft ordinance and wage recovery fund, while also providing representation to individual day laborers facing wage-and-hour violations under professional supervision. Additionally, through the clinic’s work under the Deferred Action for Labor Enforcement (DALE) initiative, Christian assisted hundreds of workers in preparing applications for temporary immigration protections and work permits, helping ensure workers could report labor violations without fear of retaliation.
